I am SO happy to be back in this world! The Chosen series is one that I reread every year. This time we finally get the story of the winged man. I’m a sucker for feathers. #teamwings all the way! Xerik is one formidable protector. He rescues Nika from the jaws of a huge prehistoric bird. This story is a slow burn, as Nika has to heal from her injuries. Xerik uses a power he has which he is not supposed to use. Over all the time caring for this female he forms quite the attachment. I love these two together! Nika is such a positive force. I love the relationship she forms with his “pet” Kwriket, too. Fallen is all about relationships and we get to revisit some old friends. It’s sooo good! I don’t want to give away any surprises, but being spoiler-free is difficult on this one. Nika made a friend, Mads, on the slaver ship they were stuck on and Mads is with Nika in the beginning. Fallen opens up many possibilities which I CANNOT wait for Stacy to explore! This story was well worth the wait. Although it could be read alone, I highly recommend picking up the rest of the series. I had all of the winged happiness with this one! Don’t miss it! 5 stars
