At first, she’s happy to ogle the mouth-wateringly beautiful Maltaffian male, and secretly very pleased to learn that they’ll be making his baby the old-fashioned way.
But then out of nowhere, he becomes wildly possessive, snarling at anyone who comes near her, making crazy statements about sharing his fortune and his fancy life with her, and swearing he’ll never let her go back to Terra-58 where he can’t protect her.
And that’s when things at the Midsummer Fertility Center start to get weird.

This book is a sci-fi romance based on humans who become surrogates for the Maltaffians. Haven is the party girl who never thought she’d be a surrogate, but she’s up for an adventure and would like to reverse her infertility. What she didn’t bargain for is Kai. Let’s just say Kai is quite possessive when it comes to Haven. Things progress quickly with this couple once they get to know one another, but can she trust him? Kai is a work-a-holic and Haven feels like she has nothing to offer him. I don’t want to give away everything, but this was a sweet and steamy romance that I really enjoyed. 4 stars
