This story drew me in RIGHT away! I have to say I absolutely loved Va’rik! I affectionately call him V. He gave me serious Ice Planet Barbarian vibes. I mean, he’s purple, yummy, and has special “features.” (Which got a bullet point in my beta notes.) Steamy! He’s also the sweetest mate out there. Amanda is a strong and independent female heroine in this story. She’s a teacher and about to be a foster mom when she gets whisked off to an alien planet. You will want to snuggle her new alien pet, too. There was some great humor infused in this adventure. The closing chapters and the epilogue bring a gratifying closure to this exciting science fiction experiment. If you have been enjoying this series, you will LOVE the conclusion told here! This is NOT a stand-alone, so be sure to read the other books first. FABULOUS! 5 stars
