Aria’s grandparents pass away and she’s left all alone tackling life. Her brother, Ben, is a Navy SEAL and he’s out on tour. Little does Aria know that Ben has asked his good friend and SEAL brother, Carter, to keep an eye on Aria. Carter doesn’t just do that. He’s entranced with her and comes into the diner where she works every day. Pretty soon they strike up a friendship that could lead to more. The sparks between these two become undeniable at one point. But how will Aria feel when she finds out Ben set this up?
This was a sweet, quick novella. I wouldn’t exactly call it instant love, but it reads like that towards the end. I absolutely love this cover, too! The colors and imagery are just right. In Plain Sight was low-angst and high on steamy romance. A great week night read! 4 stars
