This book surprised me! I thought it was going to be a little campy, insta-love romance and it wasn’t at all. There was a good back story on both Mia and Colin. Mia is an attending OB/Gyn at Santa Rosa Hospital and Colin is transferring there to escape a bad situation. He is immediately taken with Mia and their paths cross frequently because he’s a pediatrician. Mia is the typical book smart, work-oriented nerd. Colin is the player, but he’s trying to amend his ways. Lucky for us, they really steam up quite a few pages. I really liked this story and it has a sweet ending. This is my first book by Hawkins and I’m pleasantly surprised. I’m definitely interested in reading more of his work! 4 stars
