Beckham and Trouper start the book as friends in their last year of high school. But right from the beginning it feels like more than friends to both of them. Despite her father constantly warning Beckham away from Troup, she becomes quickly tied to Troup in many ways. Fast forward years and they are at the top of their fields in the FBI and the military. This story had some heart-stopping moments. The suspense was palpable. And I didn’t see how everything could possibly be alright. LLV works it out perfectly and is “wowing” us with this new series! Revisit our friends from book one, learn about Troup’s past, and get some steamy times with this new couple. Loved it! 4.5 stars
