**New Release & Review** The Outlaw Cyborg (Cyborgs on Mars #5) by Honey Phillips

BOOK BLURB

Can a cyborg ranger save Mars – and the woman who won’t admit she needs him?

Everything Serena Gatling ever wanted was taken away from her by a single horrific act of betrayal. Determined never to fall victim again, she closes her heart and dedicates her life to a cold-blooded quest to regain the one thing that still matters to her.

Sent to Mars by the ruthless corporation for which she works, Serena is finally within sight of her goal. The last thing she needs is a man distracting her. But the massive cyborg warrior who seems to know all of her hidden secrets awakens feelings she thought had died long ago.

J-100 has never fit in – not as an orphan, not as a soldier, and definitely not as a cyborg. So when he is asked to take on an impossible mission with little chance of success, he has nothing to lose. Until he meets a beautiful woman and recognizes the pain hidden behind her icy exterior – and now the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Evil forces are conspiring against the Martian colonists. Can Serena and J-100 work together to save the colony, even if it costs them everything?

Nancy’s Review

I’ve been loving these fun cyborg stories from Honey Phillips! Serena Gatling is a character we’ve seen in previous books. She’s GenCon’s top person on Mars. I grew to like her over several books, but I hate GenCon. Well, Honey wrecked me right from the beginning in chapter 1! I was thinking there needs to be a hit out on Serena’s boyfriend because he was the worst. John, or J-100 is prior military turned cyborg who comes to Mars on an undercover mission. He’s immediately taken with Serena. But Serena is singularly focused on obtaining her own personal goals. John has an uphill battle with that one! I mean, this woman doesn’t like kissing because it’s too personal. John doesn’t give up and sandstorms can have their advantages! John names his cyborg horse Winston. I love how all of the cyborg horses have taken on personalities in the series. I feel like The Magnificent Cyborg and this book go hand-in-hand. There’s definitely a continuation of the story line that’s directly linked. John (from the cover) reminds me of a book model I know of online named Charlie Dex Alexander. And I see Serena as very similar to Mirage in the first Incredibles movie. She kind of starts out as a bad guy, but comes around to help the good guys.

I’ve had the great privilege to beta read the Cyborg on Mars series. Book 5 does a very good job of answering questions that have been brought up in the series, delivers on the steamy times, and brings our friends from previous books together at the end. Fabulous story! You don’t want to miss it! 5 stars

Honey wrote and illustrated her first book at the tender age of 5. Her writing has improved since then. Her drawing skills, unfortunately, have not. She loves writing, reading, traveling, cooking, and drinking champagne – not necessarily in that order.

Her steamy science fiction stories focus on hot alien warriors and the Earth women they can’t resist. From abductions to invasions, the ride might be rough, but the end always satisfies.
