When small town enemies are forced to face each other in shared quarters, they just might find there is more than meets the eye between them.
Ethan Scott lost his job. As top chef to an elite resort, he heated the kitchen with more than just the stove … and got caught. A blow to his ego in more ways than one, he’s forced to move back to his hometown when a position for a personal chef opens. His new boss is a recluse in the woods and he’s heard the stories. Determined to make the best of things, nothing prepares him for the sight of his new employer or her feisty attitude.
Ella Vincent gave up her career without a choice. As a former model, the gruesome scars on her once lovely face won’t sell beauty products. Finding refuge in a secluded home in the woods near Elk Lake City seemed like a good idea until her brother hires someone to look after her. Her new employee is more than handsome in the face; he’s a thorn in her side.
Sometimes it takes a bruised heart to see more than the beauty our eyes can behold.

This book was a bit darker and had some suspense which made it different than the first two books in the series. These characters felt brand new to me maybe because I hadn’t read this series when the books were first published. I loved the message of this story, though. “Love the skin you’re in; love yourself.” Ethan, a chef with a dream, and Ella, an emotionally damaged and physically scarred former model, were the perfect couple. And the chemistry was off the charts. I enjoyed this one even though it was on the melancholy side. Look With Your Heart has a heart-felt message and it’s a very good read. 4 stars!

I’ve been accused of having an over-active imagination.
To my benefit, this imagination has created over twenty novels, including the creation of a small-town world (Sensations Collection), rock star mayhem (Legendary Rock Star series), MMA chaos (Paradise Stories), rom-com for the over forty (The Sex Education of M.E.), and a suspenseful island for redemption (The Island Duet).
My alter ego, elda lore, creates magical romance through mythological retellings (Modern Descendants). My life revolves around a deep love of reading about fairy tales, medieval knights, regency debauchery, and strong alpha males.
I love a deep belly laugh, a strong hug, and an occasional margarita. My other loves include being mother to four grown children and wife to the one and only.
