This was one sweet read! James and Reese were high school sweethearts once upon a time. 11 years have gone by and Reese finds herself back in Cypress Creek, TX. And wouldn’t you know it, their attraction is still strong. Reese decides to hang around for awhile. She’s about to chase her dream of being a renowned photographer, but a summer of fun sounds good. James is all about light and casual relationships. He can do this. When they find a family mystery things turn up a notch. There’s also a nasty developer who wants to buy up ranches for a posh resort. Things are going wrong on properties all over Cypress Creek and Reese wants to get to the bottom of it. Will these two be able to hold onto their hearts, or will they lose them to each other?
This book was a 3/5 on the steamy scale, but the story was great and I even shed a tear near the end. I really enjoyed Her Second Chance Cowboy! 4 stars
