I was expecting this story to be a romantic comedy, but let me tell you, it was SO much more than that! Lynsey is a masters student working on her thesis. Her environment? The hospital cafeteria. She has found it the perfect ambiance in which to write. How does she meet doctor hottie? Let’s just say it’s a brash meeting that ends with a French silk pie mishap. Dr. Josh Richardson wants a piece of Lynsey and he gets it in a scorching one-night stand. That encounter turns into a surprise pregnancy that makes for a very sweet story. Josh is surly, brash, grumpy, withdrawn, etc. Lynsey is falling in love with him, but he stays withdrawn and only wants to keep her safe. His life in Pennsylvania crushed him and he just can’t get past it. Will sweet and happy Lynsey be able to heal his heart? She’s going to give it her best try.
This story was super special because what Josh is dealing with is grief. As a parent who’s lost a child, I really related to this book. In the end, love truly wins and that’s the best possible outcome. One Moment Please is super steamy, too. I love how explosive Josh and Lynsey are physically. This enemies-to-lovers story is something extra special! 5 fantastic stars!
